Are you enjoying paying four dollars for a gallon of gas? Well, get ready, because the cost could sky-rocket to "Ten Dollars A Gallon" before too long!
You can give thanks for paying through the nose, when you fill up the next time, to wacko environmentalists and members of the Democrat party, who are being held hostage by these socialists. You will hear people like Barack Obama talk about finding "Alternative Sources Of Energy," so that we break our dependence on foreign oil. But, Obama isn't talking about drilling for oil in our country. No, perish the thought of disturbing our pristine environment, "Where The Deer And The Buffalo Play."
Obama is talking about spending billions on unproven methods for breaking our dependence on foreign oil!
Memo To Those Who Believe There Is An Alternative To Oil: There Ain't No Such Animal!
If we had started drilling in Alaska ten years ago, we wouldn't be faced with having to sell "Our Souls To The Devil" in order to drive to work. Those on the left were more concerned with protecting the caribou and other wild life, than the survival of man. So, they did what they do best. They found a leftist court that decreed, there would be no drilling in ANWR. The precious caribou were saved, but Americans continued their dependence on foreign oil. In the meantime, socialist groups continued to howl for more research dollars to be used to study "Alternative Sources Of Energy."
The Chinese are drilling in our backyard, which is off the coast of Florida. The CHICOMS are expected to strike a Motherlode of oil one day. If that doesn't tick you off, consider this bit of news that I am sure you can use. WWW.CNSNEWS.COM is reporting that there are "huge basins of untapped oil on federal lands throughout the United States."
But, there is one little problem. Most of this priceless product lies underneath, "National Parks And National Monuments." The other problem? Environmental laws and restrictions, precludes drilling in these areas. Again, we are caught between a rock and a hard place, thanks to the socialists left!
It seems that every year, congress puts on this dog and pony show, whereby these hypocrites march gas executives up to Capitol Hill, and congress rails against the high cost of gasoline, and the big profits that are being realized by big oil. This is called "Capitalism." And the hypocritical Democrats know this. But, they feint outrage, hoping to convince a gullible public that the high cost of gasoline is the fault of "Greedy Big Oil." Economics 101 teaches us, that the high cost of gasoline is because of "Supply And Demand." Even a dullard congressman should know this, right?
The other reason that the price of a gallon of gasoline is so high is because of recalcitrant Democrats, who have voted time and time again, against drilling for new sources of oil "Anywhere In The United States." Yet, these people pretend that they are shocked and dismayed at the cost of gasoline!
Democrats are the problem!
As I write this story, these same hypocrites have in their hot little hands, a copy of a report, which was requested "By Congress," from the U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The report tells congress that there are some 270 "Million Acres" which is under the jurisdiction of the federal government, "Where Oil And Gas Could Potentially Be Extracted."
The bad news is that over half of the 270 million acres are off limits to drillers. Nice!
The BLM report stated the following:
"The total onshore is 31 billion barrels. Of that, 19 billion barrels are currently inaccessible or 62 percent. A little over 2 billion barrels, or 8 percent, is accessible under what we call standard lease terms. If you add in the 85.9 billion barrers of oil that lie offshore, as determined by the Interior Department's Minerals Management Services, there are 117 billion barrels of oil on lands owned or managed by the U.S. government"
Democrats and the environmental crowd will tell you that they have blocked "All Offshore Drilling." So, there!
If you thrown in all of the oil that is available on privately held land, the total number of barrels of oil could rise to 139 billion.
That is more than the oil reserves in Iran, Iraq, Russia, Nigeria and Venezuela. This is simply mind numbing!
The BLM study declared the largest untapped oil deposit in the United States, can be found in, "Surprise," ANWR, the Artic National Wildlife Refuge.
Gosh darn it, that's off limits, because of the precious "Caribou," that contributes so much to our existence.
Think of it, we could become oil independent, because we are literally "Sitting On A Gold Mine," in places like Oregon, Washington state, Montana, Wyoming, Florida, and to the surprise of some, in the Appalacian Mountains."
But, members of the Democrat Party, and enviromentalists are killing us, because they are more interested in animals than people.
Truth my friend, is indeed, stranger than fiction!
