"OBAMA CAMP--FOX NEWS DEEPLY IRRESPONSIBLE"

Fox News "Had A Right To Run The Jeremiah Wright Clips."

With that said, Fox owed it to its viewers to "Play Wright's Comments In Their Entirety, Instead of Playing Only Snipets." Here is how I reached my conclusion!

It was clear that Fox was doing a "Hit Piece On Obama" after they ran ad nausem, the comments of Wright. Each anchor had his or her marching orders, "Fill The Airwaves With The Vitriol Of Reverend Wright." And play on the sympathies of "Hate Mongers."

I learned a long time ago as a young broadcaster, that I possesed the power to make a newsmaker look good or bad, simply by how I edited his/her sound bite. In the case of Fox and to be fair, the rest of the media also ran Wright's comments endlessly. The sad part is that,  we the viewers only got to hear what these people wanted us to hear. And what we heard was, "Terrible." Such hate speech, such anti-Americanism." Or was it? Since Fox News went overboard with showing us Jeremiah Wright's "God Dam America Comments," we will never truly know if this guy is as venomous as Fox made him out to be.  I do not agree with anyone who bashes this country, just for the sake of it. But, if that person has a legitimate reason to speak out against America, "I Will Defend His/Her Right To Exercise Their Free Speech." But, Fox News went way beyond the issue of "Free Speech." Fox News was on a "Witch Hunt." It was clear that Fox News was out to "Bring Obama Down."

I watched until I got sick to my stomach, Bill O'Reilly putting on people who took turns beating up on Obama. Of course, if he had someone on who happened to disagree with his long running diatribes, O'Reilly bullied them by in essense telling them to "Shut Up."

 Back in the 1960's there was this fellow on television by the name of Joe Pine. O'Reilly is a lot like Joe Pine, judgmental, and feeling that only his opinion is correct.  Pine did what Fox News is doing, dividing us along racial lines. Americans without an axe to grind can see what Fox News is doing.  They can see that with Fox News, this is not about the truth, it is about a personal vendetta. Obama will not appear on Fox News. This sticks in the craw of these people, "Who Touts Themselves As Being Fair And Balanced."

I am a heterosexual man, who enjoys looking at a good looking lady. I don't give a damn what color she is, because if she is a looker, "I'm Looking." Fox News does not have "One Black Female Anchor" on its airwaves. Yeah, I know they have Harris Faulker. But, she reports from the "Control Room." Apparently, the bigwigs at Fox News don't believe that she is "Ready For Prime Time." When you have a network that is heavy laden with nothing but White faces, it is difficult for them to be empathic or see any of the points that Barack Obama--or any other Black person is making. Hell, even CNN, MSNBC has "Black Anchors." Yet, these hypocrites call Wright a purveyor of hate. Tell me, what is Fox News?

MSNBC has this "Really Hot Black Female Anchor." Yeah, I am somewhat of a chauvinist. I don't want to look at a female anchor who looks like Hillary Clinton, "Without MakeUp." And I'm not interested in looking at a "60-Year Old Anchor." It is like I said, "I Don't Give A Rat's Ass" as to what her race is. If she is "Hot," I'm there. But, apparently Fox News does care about the color of its anchors. Hence, no on air Black anchors. Yet, these hypocrites go after Barack Obama, day and night. They parse his every word. For example, Obama said that his grandmother had uttered racists comments. You would think that he had blasphemed "The Holy Ghost." Here is his statment in-to-to:

"I can no more disown him(Wright) than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother; a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe"

The socialists press jumped on this statement. Many, including O'Reilly, and Rush Limbaugh, said he "Threw Grandma Under The Bus." How they concluded this, baffles the hell out of me.  How many of you have said the word, "NIGGER?" Or, the words, "CHINK, SPIC, KIKE, CRACKER, etc?" I know that I have. See, I'm not perfect. And this is all Obama was saying. But, by saying this about Grandma, he forced the Bill O'Reilly's to look at themselves. But, instead of doing this, they, "Attacked The Messenger." My Grandmother was Native American. The names that she called "My Father, Oh My God!"

Obama was also saying that it was a generational thing. But, "The Judges" didn't want to hear that. The judges don't want to look at their racism!

I know that for me, if I come in close proximity to a group of Blacks or even a single Black male, I've got my hand on my "45." Why? Because being African-American, I stand a greater chance of being shot by another Black man.

The vultures also jumped on another statement by Obama:

"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person who, uh, if she sees somebody on the streets that she dosn't know there's a reaction that's been bred into our experiences that doesn't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way and that is just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it"

Ah, the vultures read into this statement things that weren't there. At Fox News, Alyson Cammerata asked, "What Is A Typical White Person?" If I could speak with this young woman, I would describe this scenario for her:

"You are waiting for an elevator. It is ten at night. The elevator arrives, and on it is this "Very Large, Dark Black Man." What are Your Thoughts? Do you get on the elevator, or wait for another one? What if the occupant is a neatly dressed, large White man? What are your thoughts? Would you get on the elevator, or wait for another one?"

Truth be told, Ms. Cammerata wouldn't get on that elevator with the "Very Large, Dark Black Man." Of course, being politically correct, she would say that "I Was All Wet." But, I have lived in this society for six decades, and the empirical data tells me, "There Is A Typical White Reaction When Blacks Are Around."

Now, to be fair, the young kids today maybe different, but the stereotyping of Blacks continue. By the way, I wouldn't get on that elevator either, even if there was a White guy on it. To the White females reading this column, how many times have you clutched your purse whenever a Black man was nigh? Even if he was dressed in a three piece suit.  I am willing to bet that you protected your purse, either consciously or unconsciously!

This is all that Barack Obama was saying. But again, it is easier to shoot the messenger than to perform an introspection of yourself, vis-a-vis race relations.

One thing that I have observed over the past week, the socialists press has interviewed mainly Northern Whites, opposed to their Southern counterparts.  Whites in the North are so uptight about race, because the civil rights movement of the 1960's eluded them. Whites in the North have never looked at their relationships with Blacks. Whenever the topic is broached, they attempt to squash it.

The point that the vultures missed in Barack Obama's second sound bite on race was this, "We Have To Break Through It."

Rather than working to knock down these hate filled walls, the vultures look for ways to keep them standing erect!

By doing this, they are no different than "Reverend Jeremian Wright."

My aunt once told me, "When You Point Your Index Finger, There Is A Great Big Thumb Pointing Back At You."

Something for the merchants of hate to think about!

  1. I have heard enough from Mr.Wright ! Anything he says in addition to, Is only going to dig his personal hole deeper ! Mr. J. Wright is not in service to the followers of Jesus Christ ! I say he is in service to his own self ! None other.

  2. I agree Jim. I too have heard enough from Reverend Wright. But, the "Righteous Network, Fox News" insists on shoving more of his comments down our throats. The purpose, (1)To destroy Barack Obama, and (2)Divide Blacks and Whites. Neither will work. Again, if a network has a legitimate story, by all means go after it. But, don't embellish on the story with your personal hatred!

  3. Doc, sorry for going off topic but I wanted to give you this story for posting, if you'd like. I started to post it, even though it's off my beaten path, but found it so disturbing on so many levels that I don't think I can. Perhaps you'd like to address it.

  4. Hey Burns, thanks. I will do something on this tomorrow. It is amazing how we treat animals better then we treat an actual human being. If this had been a dog or cat, it would have been the lead story on your local newscast. Something is awfully F...ed up about this country. We had better get our damn priorities right. Animals are fine, but they aren't human. We need to focus on people like this poor woman and her unborn child; and stop worshipping dogs and cats!

  5. Hi Dr. Lewis, I enjoyed reading your article. It is definitely 100% true! We really must do something about the media. In fact, I have stopped watching most of the mainstream media. The best source to learn what is happening in our own country on a fair and balanced perspective, is to actually watch a foreign media source like the BBC. One way we can initiate change is for people to boycott their sponsors. Nothing like money gets people's attention! On a final note, perhaps you could write about the current multimillion dollar fraud lawsuit that the clinton's are currently faced with in a Caifornia court (To verify this go to www.lasuperiorcourt.org , Civil Case Summaries, Case Number BC304174 ). NO MEDIA SOURCE HAS REPORTED ON THIS TO-DATE!!!!!! What do you think about that????

  7. Dr. Hart, thank you for taking the time to read my column. The MSM, and cable news is chocked with narcissistic individuals. They feel that they are doing all of us a favor by showing up for work. Most of these people wouldn't know a real story if it smacked them in the face. Being a former broadcast journalist, I can tell you that "It Is The Public's Fault That We Are Faced With This Situation Today." The public allowed broadcast journalists to go from reporting the news to providing us "With Their Unsolicited Opinions." There isn't one of these morons on television today who will not proffer their opinion about something. Had the public nipped this in the bud years ago, we wouldn't be where we presently are. You can blame public's apathy for this. The idea of boycotting sponsors sounds good, but most individuals simply want the media to tilt their heads back, and pour the day's news down their throats. In other words,these people don't give a damn. Most of them would be moved to anger if you asked them to "Think." If Americans were truly "Great Thinkers," Hillary Clinton would have been drummed out of this race a long time ago. Alas, we have people running to the polls and voting for this lying, draconian woman. Face it, the people voting for her are middle-aged, White women. These are the same people that Hillary Clinton clearly insulted with her, "Baking Cookies Remark," back in the 1990's. Hillary Clinton couldn't care less about these women. But, they have bought into her argument that it is "Our Turn." Hillary Clinton wouldn't have these women "Wash Her Windows." Yet, these fools continue to vote for her. They seem to say, "We Screwed That Guy." Actually, they are screwing themselves. But, they are too stupid to realize what they are doing. I am a Conservative, and I will not vote for Barack Obama. I wrote my column based on the lies and distortions that Fox News unleased on the public. I am from another era. I believe in fair play, regardless of the hue of the person's skin. What Fox News did was appalling. I will look into the Clinton's fraud lawsut. Again, thank you for reading my column. By the way, how did you hear about me?     I just happened to come cross your site while surfing the net. I am an African-American expat currently living and working in Indonesia and I must say that it is quite embarrasing to have our media in the states acting so irresponsibly and unfairly. It is sad when we cannot get the facts from our own country and ust rely on outside sources for truth and fact. I thought our country was supposed to be the model of democracy, fairness, and truth. At this point, I feel more confident with getting the right information by sources outside of the U.S...and that is a tragedy!!!! The media in the U.S. presents only what they want the people to hear (isn't this what the communist states were/are accused of doing?)...to hell with the truth and facts!     Somehow, we must change things before it is too late. For sure, I hope the Trinity United Church file a defamation lawsuit against the media because they are loaded with evidence to make them pay dearly!!!!

    It is even more troublesome that even though it is IMPOSSIBLE for Hillary to overcome Obama's lead in MOST number of pledged delegates, MOST popular votes, and MOST states won...EVEN IF SHE WON ALL REMAINING CONTESTS, she continues to campaign! It is like she is in a state of denile feels that by golly it is her turn and right to be President despite her proven UNREADINESS and more to the point, UNFITNESS to be President! She has thrown the kitchen sink, her dresser, jewlery, and lipstick at Obama. Spreading lies and misrepresentations of Obama, basically denouncing Obama in favor of McCain, stirring up and fostering racial tensions just to name a few of her schemes. Could it be that she continues because she would feel humiliated and ashamed being taken out by a newcomer Senator...and, in her mind and Bill's, even worse, a Black man???? By being that white candidate that lost to that black candidate??? How else could we view the pointless continuation of her campaign?

  11. I bet their name isn't even Clinton. I think if you take a look Dr., Obama is more conservative than you think. I have never voted for a democrat Presidential candidate since I first voted for Nixon in 1972. I changed my registration so I could vote for Obama in the PA primary. Yes, I have the paperwork completed to switch it back on May 23 sitting on my desk.

    Face it Dr., McCain and Hillary both are more of the same old same old. Why not try the next generation and the concept of hope and good will?

  13. Generally Hillary was ahead on Thursday by about 8 points. In my opinion, that is lower than one would think based on what you point out, Rendell, etc. Hey is Rendell grovelling for a Hillary VP slot or what?

    Based on yesterday's Gallup numbers nationwide, Obama has gotten over the Rev. Wright flap.

    Hillary's comments questioning the "legitimacy" of Obama's nomination will ultimately be the last nail in the bitch's coffin. The bigwigs won't like it.

    I think the DNC bigwigs plan to trot out periodic big endorsements, like Richardson's even couple of weeks or so. There will be a big one for Obama a couple of days before the PA primary. Mark my words!!

  14. Once again Doc the "unwavering balefull eye of Truth hath been cast".....You said a mouthfull about the deep seated mistrust that does exist between different races, even if on a sub-concious level...I for one will admit guilt, the more "thug" looking, or "rough" looking a person is the more uncomfortable I feel, and that is not really a good thing when in the type of work I do, but I just have to get past it and do my job, because if I miss an important clue, it might directly effect the health of the person i'm assessing. Some times it's not easy. example: if a patient comes in c/o abd pain, young healthy but with gang tats and waaaay too much "grill" work, they might just be seeking a vicodin prescription to sell on the street for 20$ a pill, or they might have a "hot" appendicitis. Hopefully that is the point where training takes over and puts the "little bigot" in all of us to the side, and does what is best for the patient....Keep all of us straight doc....lol....riff

  15. Riff, I know what you mean. I have heard every excuse under the sun used by those seeking to get more "Meds." For example, I had this one patient, a polysubstance abuser, come in crying one day. She had "Accidentally" spilled her headache meds down the sink. Another time, she cried about her sister, "Taking Her Meds." As you know, we are caught between a rock and a hard place. If you don't give her the additional meds, and she go into withdrawls, can we say, "Good Bye Licenses." The punks with medicaid cards piss me off. Theses no good bastards haven't worked a day in their sorry lives, but they get free medical/dental. And they are selling "A Little somethin, Somethin On The Side." Yeah, they really piss me off. Regarding my writings, I seek only to "Enlightened, and Educate." Further, it is my goal to help my readers to become independent thinkers, and stop allowing the Bill O'Reilly's to get into their heads, and fill them with hate!
