"SOME AFRICAN-AMERICANS SAY OBAMA ISN'T BLACK ENOUGH"

Let me get this straight: Bill Clinton was America's "First Black President!"

At least that was the belief of writer, Toni Morrison, who must have been smoking pot, moments before she released this ridiculous assessment. According to Morrison, Clinton understood the travails of African-Americans, because those mean "Old White Men On The Right," were always after "Bubba." No they weren't. Clinton was always doing something stupid, like having Monica Lewinsky perform fellatio on him while he was chatting with Yaser Arafat!

When I first heard of the Morrison comment, I was deeply offended. At this writing, I remain deeply offended by the insensitive remarks of this "Black" woman. It is insulting to compare what Bill Clinton went through, compared to the brutality of slaverly that those of African descent had to endure, not only here in the United States, but in other slave holding countries around the globe!

A recently released poll showed that African-American respondents said that Barack Hussein Obama isn't Black enough for their tastes. I have always wondered, "What The Hell Is That Suppose To Mean?" Obama doesn't wear the latest "Hip Hop" apparel? Obama doesn't use ebonics? Obama "Doesn"t Ride Dirty?" By this I mean, operating a motor vehicle without, (1) A licensee, (2) Possessing ilicit drugs, (3) Possessing an illegal gun. What exactly does it mean when other Blacks say someone isn't "Black Enough?"

During my early years, I learned that African-Americans in my community disliked people like Lena Horne, Diane Carroll, and Leslie Uggams. Horne who looks White, was disliked because she is alleged to have tried "To Pass For White." This was seen as a rejection of her Blackness. Okay, I get that! But, why is it that people like Diane Carroll and Leslie Uggams failed the litmus test on what it means to be "Black?"

"Psst, Come Closer." There is this dirty little secret in the Black community. Many African-Americans loathe Blacks who don't speak with:

* A regional accent

* A noticeable Black dialect

Black people who speak what is called, "The King's English" are viewed as "Sell Outs." I guess using proper grammar and vocabulary should be eschewed by "All Good Black Americans" if they want to be recognized as, "Keeping It Black!" "Right On?" By the way, if you follow this foolish advice, forget about a career in broadcasting, even though the standards are abysmal compared to forty years ago. You can also forget about a career as a lawyer, medical doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc. In order to work in the aforementioned fields, one must have a command of the english language!

I recall my best friend used to have to run for his life after he left school each day. Hot in pursuit of my friend, was this jealous Black moron.  Yes, it was jealousy that caused this neer-do-well to want to inflict maximum damage on my friend. It stopped, after I stepped in, and told this clown that if he hurt my friend, I would "Kick His Ass." Sometimes, you have to speak in the language of Neanderthals! It worked. The jackass got the message!

My friend spoke nearly perfect English. He was also a brilliant student. Even to this day, Many African-Americans hold this against another Black person. Instead of being proud of that person, they want to rearrange some of their brain cells. I know it doesn't make sense, but this stupidity continues to happen in the Black community, although we are in the year 2007!

This brings us back to Barack Hussein Obama. You will need to trust me on this. He is not "Black Enough," because he is a Harvard Law School Graduate. Secondly, he is a brilliant man; and thirdly, he is comfortable in either milieu, Black or White. The idiots who say this man is not Black enough forget one thing. Obama is running for President of "The United States, Not The Black States Of America." No, I am not an Obama supporter. However, I am a supporter of individualism. Black people are not monolithic!

It is both sad and pathetic that we in the African-American community have to fight this pre-antebellum thinking in the 21st Century!

Obama is the result of a mixed marriage. His dad is African; While his mother is European-American. Obama's wife is Black. The Black bigots would have had a field day, had Obama popped up with a "Blond, Blue Eyed White Woman." This has always been their "Ace In The Hole."   "See, I Told You, That Guy Wasn't Black. He Had To Go Get A White Girl!" This specious argument has been used by the Black bigots for years. It couldn't be that a guy like Tiger Woods "Is In Love With His White Wife?" The bigots say, of course not, he just wanted that "Status Symbol." Ridiculous! You betcha!

As a Clinical Psychologist with many years of experience, I must admit that I am stumped over how to combat this antiquated thinking.

I recall Bryant Gumbel once telling a story that his late father advised him on. Gumbel said his dad observed, "Never Change The Way That You Speak In Order To Make Someone Else Feel Comfortable." He said, "While You Maybe Making Them Comfortable, You Are Also Talking Down To Them."

That was really good advice from Mr. Gumbel!

  3. Absolutely Dr. The Clintons are the masters at sleazy behind the scenes scorched earth campaign tactics. This is just one of many 'tricks' they have up their lying spindoctoring sleeves for Mr. Obama.

    I strongly support every American citizen who rejects Hillary. We are all Americans is a totally equal way for purposes as citizens. All of our ancesotrs are natives of other countries (except Native Americans). Hopefully this is not degenerating into some white supremacist dialogue Dr.

    France on the other hand deserves to be taken over by muslims. In the last 200 years, France has contributed nothing positive to society and has simply been a pain in the ass. Your average "French" Frenchman is a jackass.

Ya I talk that "mushmouth" for years but I couldnt understand everything and got cross once in a while...oh well ...jsut goes to show Bill Cosby was right and Black americns will nnever change ...except for the worst, they do that rather easily almost effortlessly. "end times predictions" ????? but I find lots of people in the churches of christ and god these people know something that the rest dont !

Well I don't know if the clintons are a part of it, ((I wouldn't doubt if they were involved somehow), I have long noticed if you are black , and educated and successful and self sufficient, and "aint from da hood", and don't sell or use drugs, and end every sentance with "word" or "yo" or some form of "shizzel", and wear a dew rag,and have horrible slang and syntax and make yourself responsible for your fate instead of playing the race card, "you is not black enough". The people that I know that are professionals in the medical field, and happen to be black, be it a nurse or doctor, or other, were all without exception highly intelligent,well rounded, consumate proffesionals, who held higher standards than myself. It is amazing how well a person can do when they dedicate themselves to a goal and -place their fate in their own hands- instead of blaming "bad ole whitey". I don't agree with obamas political views but I respect him as a person.....riff

  7. Well said! We all know why the Clintons and the rest of the democrats like ignorant Blacks. The idiots "Don't Think." They look to the "Great White Father, And Now Great White Mothers" for everything. Instead of getting up off of their dead asses and working for whatever their life's goalis .The Clintons love that "Slave Plantation Mentality." What is most disturbing are the so-called "Black Leaders Who Aid And Abet The Clintons," in their quest to keep the docile, and dependent on the dole.

The "OLD SCHOOL" way back when crew of the well established churches of the "DEEP SOUTH" were rooted these southern blacks did recieve the gospel according to Christ Jesus and the truth is in them. Such was the righteousness of Dr. Martin Luther King who pronounce that he was slave only to GOD never any mankind. This a stand for us all simular to that as christ has done for ALL MAN/woman kind....and it should be well noted that if crimes against anyone person could occurr than it could occurr also to any other race, creed, religion

  11. Sadly, it is not only Blacks who have drifted away from the "true teachings of Christ," but the Nation as a whole. Heterosexual ministers and now "homosexual ministers" have made a mockery of the church! Where in God's dear name does it say, "Homosexuals Who Are Actively Living This Lifestyle" have been called to preach by Christ? It is all apart of man's arrogance that lead homosexuals to think that they can defile the pulpit of Christ's church.

  14. Good read. I'm aware that some people of color think they have to act, dress, etc.. a certain way or risk being called names. I know Tiger got crap for not identifying himself as "black." He identifies as being multi-ethnic, which he is. I know Cosby caught a lot of hell not so much for what he said as where he said it. One ethnic hustler that I saw spun it kinda like, "He shouldn't have shouted those comments in public, he should have whispered them to the black community."

  15. No, Cosby caught hell for the stupid names that some Black people assign to their children,"For Life." He also was taken to task for telling "The Truth" about the indolent behavior of some African-Americans; and their bastardization of American English. It is like the "Pink Elephant In The Living Room Syndrome." Many African-Americans are in denial over the myriad problems facing our community. Not talking about it, doesn't help. Denying it will not make it "Go Away." It simply exacerbates the problem(S).

I think by the year 2030 there will be a line drawn across the U.S. from Seattle to New Orleans, Everyone northeast will be black America and evryone southwest will be Mexican. whitie be a minority cause he didnt have multiple children (bastards) with multiple women on multiple occassions for tHE PURPOSE OF OUT POPULATING EVERYONE ELSE.

Thats what caught my attention and it became obvious to me that given time...well ...thats just the way its heading....the sins of the father visited upon the son..example...fathers buying people of another continent, who were for sale by the status quo of that continent, and using them to do the dirty work that others wouldnt do and for as little reward (pay) If todays America were to have been built by skilled labor who commanded the wages of today....America would never have been built at ALL !!!!! So a shift is more likely than NOT ...

    . Fearful of thinking
    . Looking to the democrats to hand them a monthly(WELFARE) check
    . In the borderline, or mildly retarded IQ range

  25. I never thought that I would see the day when "Americans" would sell their country out. Look at all of the so-called "Americans" who are here. The Mexicans proudly display their flag, so do the Puerto Ricans, and most of the Latinos who are in this country "legally." My friend, we have lost our "National" identity, thanks to "Diversity, and Tolerance."

  26. the demoncrates have been doing it since 68 after the demoncrate convintion at chicago when was first coined the term special interest groups (give away groups)in order to create concessions (give aways) starting back then if a company wanted to do business with an overseas group it was called the spread of demoncracy which required concessions (give aways)

  28. Many Muslims in this country are using our own freedoms to defeat us. Witness what happened to the "Imams" who were "praying on a plane." When passengers panicked and reported these weasels, the Imams were tossed off the plane. Quicker than you can say ACLU, the Imams were on the phone to CAIR, who advised them to not only sue the airline, but the passengers as well. They say their "Civil Rights" were violated. Yeah, right!!!!Congress has stepped in and made it impossible for creeps like these Imams to sue American citizens who love their country.

  30. The way that I see it, Americans are too quick to dismiss issues that impact on our country, family, etc. Americans have become too weak in the knees. They fear "Conflict." The funny thing about conflict is this. Either you deal with it head on--or it will deal with you--either physically--or emotionally. Either way, the conflict avoidant individual is harmed!
